Susan, it's nice to know that you enjoy that. One of my ultimate comfort foods is pot pie with a bit of unsalted butter. Like a pot pie doesn't already have about twice the fat that it needs!

In Germany I've seen........not tasted must admit........toasted bread, covered with a layer of chocolate spread, followed by a layer of creamy peanut butter and a final layer of spread.
And this has been eaten for breakfast, snack lunch and attacks of the "munchies".
Have been told that it tastes like an extravagant Hershey peanut butter cup but, as I only ever tried one of those once and decided never again, can not really judge. Only know it seems to be popular, and not only with those under driving license age

As a Brit in America, I'd like to shake the hand of whoever first thought of putting peanut butter and jelly/jam together! I love PBJ, no butter, and preferably on firm wholemeal bread.
Another great combination is peanut butter and fresh watercress - highly recommended.
Mona - how can you call Marmite revolting? It's the food of the gods! I would - and do - pay any price for it over here.
