Where i have straightened my hair to much at the front it looks like i have burnt it. Do you know of anything that could help it look a little better?

A leave in hair treatment such as "It's a 10" can give you the moisture it needs while protecting your hair from further damage. I would follow up with a smoothing serum after the hair is dry to protect the hair from frizz and give it a silky smooth finish and shine. I personally like Glass made by Redken and Glaze Haze made by Bed Head.
Use caution when putting a smoothing serum on your hair a tiny bit goes a long way!
Ultimately, trimming off all the burnt hair is the ideal approach to your dilemma.
Hope this helps you smile

I would love to put my hair up in different styles - different type soy updos. I live in a cold climate that makes hats critical. Is there anyway I can have my updos and not have to redo my hair constantly?

My step daughter's mother is and has been dying her hair.. my step daughter is only 3 years old. She has been having her hair died since she was about one. Is this even safe for her and is there anything I can try to do to save her hair? I dye my hair and I have had it bleached before so I know how terrible it is for an adult's hair... I can't imagine how terrible it is for my step daughter's hair...

AKLisa- I would opt for updos that are sleek around the head with the hair pulled down towards the shoulders. I know wearing a hat is a hard issue when it comes to updos. Hats crease the hair. It is nearly impossible to have an updo and wear a hat.
Could you elaborate a bit more about soy updos please.
Also, I would consider if you are going out to wear a hat that has more room in it for the hair and one that is less tight around the head.

This is one of the reasons I went to cosmetology school. The more you know about hair the more styles you can create.

I would suggest reading a few good books about hair to learn how heat effects hair and how to set the hair.

Another thing you could do is look at pictures and try to re-create them on yourself or a friend. The style does not have to be perfect.

There are many modifications to a hairstyle.

Brandi, thank you so much for your suggestions, I will give them try.
Soy updos is a typo - should read "types of updos"
sorry about the confusion!

What types of hats do you wear?
If you wear knit hats like a Beret then there would be plenty of room for hair that is set pretty on the top of your head.

I would probably leave some hair down framing the face since you have such pretty curls and it would go beautiful with your face shape.

If you put the round of the hat at the hairline where the directon of hair flow changes and let the front hair frame the face this could be a pretty look. As well as not to disturb the updo.

Sorry I should of been more specific with my question.

Is she taking the hair darker or lighter?

Do you know if it is wash out color, permanent, or Henna?

I am worried that the harsh chemicals would hurt the child.
Especially if it were to get it the eyes.

My worries do not stop there I would also be worried that the child would grow up feeling like they must change their appearance to fit in.

At such a young age it would not be hard to stop dying the hair and just trim out the damaged hair slowly.

Oh, I should knit up a beret or two - I hadn't thought of leaving some strands down. Thanks for the idea!

I'm a 32 year old mom of a 12 year old and I think I'm losing to much hair. My hair is very oily and I'm taking iron pills. They helped a little but I want to do more.

You can deep condition you hair naturally to add back that shine and get moisture.

All you need is three things... an avocado, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 teaspoon vinegar. Mash the avocado, add the honey and vinegar... wash your hair, towel dry, saturate hair with avocado mixture, combing through with a large tooth comb, put on a processing cap, wait 1 hour, rinse out.

It's amazing! I love it and have recomended it to my salon clients for home care

My hair is thin as well as has split ends. People suggest me to go to beauty parlor for trimming every time, but I don't like this option because every time I go, the beauty parlor lady cuts my hair's length, and i want long hairs. Can you suggest me ways to get ride from split ends of hair without trimming or without going to parlor. Thanks in advance

Taking care of our hair is a challenge. Religious hair treatment is necessary for a healthy hair. It is better to use products with natural ingredients like aloe vera, argan oil and keratin. They are pretty safe and effective.

What hair care tips can you share on how to moisturize the hair? My hair is very dry and I see lots of hair fall everyday.
