Is this Irish Moss? Or sedum? Or something else? I've pruned it to be a bonsai tree smile



Here's a photo of my larger plant in a more traditional shape.



It was labeled irish moss when I bought it, but I'm not sure that was right.

It's definitely not Irish moss. It may be a sedum or crassula. I'll do some research and try to find out more exactly, but it is a succulent, and will grow best in fast draining soil.

This looks like one of the many eschveria that you can get, but that you have pruned it to look like a bonsai tree then I doubt it. It's very pretty ... has it flowered yet Lisa?

We've had this plant since 2010 at least, and it's never flowered. I didn't even know they could flower smile.

Here's a photo of the big one. The part not directly facing the window is looking a little anemic. Maybe I should rotate it every few days?



I now think it is probably Sedum album 'Athoum' and that the container had been mis-labeled at the garden center. I can't find any irish moss anywhere that looks like this.
