Karen, your recipe looks great. I love tuna casserole in all of its varieties. Since the heavy metal scare with tuna, I hardly ever eat it, but I do long for its creamy taste.

Connie,

I figure I'm going to die of something; I prefer it be food related, so I'll have a smile on my face. I doubt tuna is as bad for us as McDonald's or the food served at the other chains (I recently read Fast Food Nation and got a real scare) and I pour enough Diet Coke on the airplane to see that people consume a lot of really bad stuff. I would think that the preservatives and additives alone in a box of Hamburger Helper (which I wouldn't even feed to my dogs, let alone humans) are 10 times as bad as the worst tuna out there.

Maybe you could substitute salmon or another kind of flaked fish if you aren't comfortable eating tuna.

It's nice to know that someone admits to liking old fashioned casseroles like tuna noodle. Comfort food never goes out of style.

I'd be interested to know if they've fixed the metal problem with the tuna. I give my two cats tuna sometimes as a treat, and I don't want to poison them. Does anyone have info on this?

I really enjoy casseroles. I like tuna, and I love tuna noodle casserole. I am not a fan of sour cream and I would not put it in when I make it, but the recipe sounds great regardless. I like flavorful tuna recipes. I have been known to add tuna to macaroni and cheese, with the addition of chopped tomatoes and calamata olives. Mmmmmm....

As for the metal scare I am aware of it, but I don't eat tuna more than a couple of times a month, if that. I don't consume very much.
