Ok, so i got my third tattoo on my foot about 5 months ago and it still itches and burns at times. The artist was very sterile and clean and i keep lotion on it so im not sure why its doing this still after this long. Also, the ink is fading. Im not sure if thats from just bad ink your my skin just doesnt take while. Any suggestions?

Some ideas:

Stop using lotion on it and see if it gets better.

Some people are sensitive to certain tattoo inks. It could be the tattoo itself that is bugging you.

Feet slough off skin cells a LOT. Tattoos on feet are well-known for fading or healing out due to this.

Try to keep your skin dry that will help in itching.

I use Sebamed body lotion and it soothes my skin and stops it from itching/burning. Other lotions are usually way too sticky and they irritate my skin, but Sebamed is really mild. Give it a try!
