We all know there is all kinds of discrimination out there whether it's skillfully hidden or all up in your face.
I just read an article about obesity as being a "new" discrimination. I would argue that it is not "new". Unfortunately discrimination based on size is real and the any employer practicing discrimination of any type should be made to pay hefty fines (or shut down) - but that's my view point from a naive perspective of the world :-)
Here is an excerpt from the article...
The study, led by The University of Manchester and Monash University, Melbourne, and published in the International Journal of Obesity,....
We found that strong obesity discrimination was displayed across all job selection criteria, such as starting salary, leadership potential, and likelihood of selecting an obese candidate for the job.
What do you think? Real?
