Germany's favorite candy has to be Gummy Bears, which began life in 1922 as fruit gummi Dancing Bears. Today they are known worldwide, and as a cult candy, not only for children but also "grown-ups", they have even been used 'to build' couture dresses, while in Germany amongst other things they make a popular children's party "Hedgehog" as well as Vodka cocktails.
