There are a lot of new breweries that have popped up in the Philadelphia Region this year. A lot! Perhaps 5 or 6 - maybe more. Is it the same where you live?

I want to make a Who's Who of Who's New. What new breweries are in YOUR region?

The Verde Valley does not have a brewery, unless you consider Sedona in the Verde valley. That is not been made decisive.

We do have wineries though.

The microbrews are mostly in Flagstaff and Prescott, and there is also one in Williams.

Interior Alaska has Silver Gulch, which has expanded a bit the last few years into a brewing/bottling facility to a full-on brew pub with their own root beer for the kids.
In the small community of Healy, there is the 49th State Brewing company http://www.newsminer.com/view/full_story...n-beers-in-June
Plus, a new brewery in city limits of Fairbanks is supposed to be coming on board soon http://newsminer.com/pages/full_story/pu...e_most_popular6
It is named after the HooDoo Mountains where the Arctic Man Games are held, the one where Sarah Palin's husband competes in snow machining events.

I bet if you contacted Glenn BurnSilver, he could tell you about every brewery in the state. Contact info should be findable on the newspaper website (not link pages themselves) from the article links I put in.

You surprised me with the wineries comment, Jilly. In Arizona?

Thanks for the info, Lisa. I have spoken to Glen BurnSilver in the past - or maybe it was by email??? I didn't realize he knew all the breweries. I'll check in with him.

Yes, the verde valley is a new and upcoming wine region. I am gratified to see this - some award winning wines are coming out of here. We now have five wineries along Oak Creek.

He is just really up on the whole Alaskan brewing scene is all.
I am wondering if there is anything new in the Willamette Valley or very near areas. Brewing was huge there, and I am sure it continues to be a sizable industry. Hops grow pretty well there.
Does anybody know about any recent changes in the scene in that area?
