I know that some believe that colour affects mood but I was interested to find out if it's something you've experienced. Do you regularly use color for lifting your mood? If so, which ones? What are your thoughts about colour and mood?

I find the effect of colour quite fascinating. Here are some articles I wrote on the topic:

1. Car Colour and What It Says About You

2. What Your Tie Colour Says About You

3. Holi or Phagwa - The Fun

The 3rd article above is about a 'Festival of Colours' whereby you spend the entire day throwing different coloured dyes at your relatives, friends, colleagues, etc!

Oh, I would love to attend the Holi Festival in India someday!

As for my car color? It is silver. I purchased it used when I was thinking about pursuing my MFT (marriage, family therapy) license. But I changed my mind about that. Now it feels a bit staid for me. I don't know what car color I really like best.

I've recently begun to follow Ayurvedic practices to improve my physical, mental, and spiritual health. Purple is the color that I should wear to balance out my dosha. I can't say that it has worked, but I do like purple!

# Joy, just read your article on the colour of one's car and mood - interesting... I'll bear it in mind

#Lori, I also drive a silver car - I do like the colour. I think in Jung's work silver symbolizes the energy of the feminine and also transformation

#Carleen, now purple does really cheer me up, I can't get enough of the colour! Last weekend I visited a lavender farm near to where I live just to go and see the field of purple, I found it deeply relaxing. I also have purple trainers... (sneakers)
