This sandwich sounds "muy rico."

I was wondering if fresh mashed potatoes could be substituted for the potato flakes or would that radically effect the ratio of some of the other ingredients due to the water content of the potatoes?

This is hilarious and I couldn't wait to share it with you!

Our youngest son loathes squash. Tonight, he was eating a commercial vegetable protein burger. He looked at me and said, "Mom, your Summer Squash Burgers are a lot better than this burger!"
