The need to love and be loved can be applied to all scenarios. We may strain to see it sometimes, but it is always there; especially in tragedy.

Today's shooting in Colorado (Batman Opening screening) is an example of how a person's desire to love and be loved, unconditionally, has gone awry.

Unfortunately, the shooter did not feel that he has experienced Unconditional Love. It is not consciously in the forefront of his thoughts or efforts.

For Mr. Holmes, love has become misconstrued as attention. Meaning, attention has become the condition for love. The more attention he gets, the more he feels "loved".

So, in an effort to finally be the recipient of love on a grand scale, he has staged a massacre that will provide him with world wide (attention) love.

Unfortunately, his high will be short lived because attention is not unconditional love. Hopefully, he has gotten the attention of his family members or loved ones. Maybe now they will somehow forgive him and express unconditional love toward him before he dies.

My condolences to the families of the victims and a heroic farewell to the loving energies that departed for the cause.

yes, very true; love is the greatest goal. Love is something cannot be described, it cannot be calculated by anything. Love can give you greatest satisfaction, satisfaction in life. It has the power to change the significance of your life. Love can do amazing wonders, it can triumph, it can cure, it can seduce etc. We should love everybody on this planet; human beings, animals, birds etc. Will wait to read more on this topic. Thx.

I keep asking myself why i don't think love is important anymore. Honestly, it doesn't seem that interesting - not like it used to. Is it because my marriage is over? I am not being snarky here; legitimately curious.

You might just be getting to a place of learning to love yourself unconditionally. Needing love from others isn't as driving once you love yourself.

Subconsciously we still want to love and be loved unconditionally. That means so much on so many levels. You probably already have an understanding that unconditional love exists in your life; from parents and loved ones.

Consciously, like is wonderful. It's a great place to be.
