When it's hot out it's critical to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. How much are you drinking? It helps with weight loss too! I have a large glass in front of me right now, with ice.

I am not drinking nearly enough and I can feel it! Sometimes when I'm running around a lot I drink less so I can make fewer restrooms stops (especially if I know I'll be sitting in a lot of Northern Virginia traffic before my next stop), but I know that's wrong.

Ah see you need to build up your bladder size! I bet bladders expand over time if they are trained properly smile So drink more water, and you can work on that! smile

Yesterday I did marvelous, at least the 64oz we are advised to drink. Today, I'm falling short.

Whenever I drink 24oz at the start of my day, I do incredibly well. When I miss any of that, I play catch up throughout the day.

Dianne, I like you, play the potty game when I know I will be out and about. Lisa, I have also heard that once your body understands that the allotted amount of water is a stable scenario, things adjust.

I like this topic like I like salad time. Keeps me on my toes.

Yup I think the key is regular water intake. It's probably not healthy if you go without water all day long and then drink 64oz at 11pm smile

The ideal is for water to be drunk at room temperature, otherwise it is a shock to your body. If you drink it at room temperature, it's easier to drink more.

I drink mine in a cup with a lid with a slice of lemon in it. That way it tastes good and the lemon is good for you too.

Also drinking herbal tea is nearly as good as drinking water and it has zero calories.

Warm is ok sometimes. It's just so HOT here a tall, cold glass is perfect.

Yvonnie, good to know I'm not alone. I've been drinking a lot in the last couple of days. But with all that water it's hard to make it from here to Manassas (16 miles).

Hopefully it will get better, even if it doesn't I'm going to keep on tryin'!

Tina - intriguingly, many say that that shock is a good thing. It makes your body burn more calories, and it doesn't hurt you at all. I.e. it's no worse than eating ice cream.

Did you hear anywhere that it in any way harms you to have cold water in you?

I read it years ago from Dr Mercola.

I just found this

Let me remind you of the water basics. Your exclusive beverage should be water. Try to have at least eight glasses of water a day. It would be best to have the water at room temperature.

Ice-cold water can be a trauma to the delicate lining of your stomach, unless you are overheated. However, it is far better to drink the water then limit your water intake due to the timing of meals. Drinking the amount of water you need is the primary point.

Ideally you should sip it all day long and consume about one to two cups of water per hour. If you consume one quart at a setting three times a day, your body will not use most of the water.

It comes from this article

The Real Cost Of Bottled Water
