How's everyone doing?

We have thunderstorms and showers in the northeast for today and tomorrow. We sure do need the rain, although I would have liked better weather so I could spend some time outside. We had a beautiful weekend, but I was working so I could not enjoy much of it. Seems that the rain waited to come down for when I had some time off. I guess it will give me a good excuse to rest on my laurels, at least for today. I prefer rain over the heat that the midwest is getting.

Hi Debbie! Phyllis and I are over here stomping some apples. It's not as easy as it looks.

No, it sure is not easy. I tried jumping on the apples but slipped and fell out of the tub.

I got two of the apples squashed -- how are you doing, Jilly? Come on and join us, Debbie.

What the heck are you gals up to??? Do you think I am "crazy" enough to get into a tub full of hard apples? I have to work tomorrow......I can't afford to be falling out of the tub and breaking something! LOL......

I will just sit on the front porch, rocking on this here swing, and I will watch you gals go at it. I think this will be quite amusing......

My tub is going slowly, but it's going. I had to sanitize a pair of boots for the stomping. Bare feet just don't cut it.

I can see why no one actually does this.

I got sanitized boots also. Sure is easier on the feet.

I wonder how long this is going to take to get to apple cider ready....?

Rut Roh... Granpappy been watchin' the stompin' & came up with an idea.
He removed everything but the engine & blade from a rotary lawn mower. Hung it under an apple tree & fired up that old Briggs & Stratton. That blade whirled around while Granpappy shook the tree. The apples fell into that blade & were instantly sliced, mashed & liquified into the cattle trough below. Heard he got the idea when a bunch of folk were talking about their Cousin Art & he thought they were saying 'Cuisinart'.
Now he hasn't found anyone brave enough to turn off the engine. Just lettin' it run outta petro.

Wooo - Hoooooo!!! Now that is going to save us all a lot of time, Beetle. Bless our dear ol' Granpappy. I guess there are times when he really does something to help us all.

I do hope the cattle trough was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized first.

This is so cool... I love Granpappy's new 'Cuisnart'. We should have our apple cider by this weekend then. Awesome!!!

Hafta thank Cousin Art for his namesake! & I think Granpappy really wanted to use the helicopter for this invention, but didn't want the FAA to be another Government Agency getting their nose into his business. He does enough runnin' from the Revenuers.
