Anime director Katsuhiro Otomo was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame on July 13, 2012. He is only the fourth Japanese inductee and the first one in eight years.
Otomo is best known for creating the stories of Akira, Steamboy, and Memories; he directed or co-directed for all of these.
