It seems all my favorite shows are going away or gone. In Plain Sight is gone. House is gone. Now The Closer is ending up.
At least when they know they're ending they can wrap up nicely. I do appreciate that.
And also, I'm not thrilled with the "squash down Brenda" atmosphere of the past season, so maybe it's just as well it's ending. I don't find it uplifting.

I love The Closer too. It started out with Brenda showing her unique 'closing' talents, which I enjoyed, but then it went the way of many drama series and brought in an ongoing situation and conflict. I can see why writers do this, but it doesn't always work.
Not sure if I will watch the spin-off series with Captain Raydor - she doesn't interest me as much as Brenda.

I have just realized that there are The Closer seasons I haven't seen. I don't watch TV and only get DVDs from Netflix. Somehow I thought The Closer finished when they got married. (weren't they going to DC?) Can someone tell me which season they got married because then I can watch all those shows I haven't yet seen. I just don't know where to start.

There have been seven seasons of The Closer, and Brenda and Fritz got married at the end of season four - so you have lots of episodes to watch!

I miss the old Closer too. I agree Lisa, that it got kind of depressing toward the end.
How to you like the new spin off, Major Crimes? I wasn't sure I'd like a huge dose of Sharon Raydor but she kind of grows on you.

I had the exact same worry. I wasn't fond of her from Battlestar Galactica. But yes, despite a rough beginning, she is growing on me. And I'm appreciative that they kept the storyline going.
