When my middle daughter was 3 I had a 1 1/2 year old and an infant, and I didn't relish the idea of having 3 children in diapers. I told her that it was time that she began using the toilet. Her answer, "Oh no! I too widdle to do that!" I told her that if she was old enough to give me that argument, she was old enough to wear real panties and use the toilet. Within a couple of days she was accident-free. My mistake with her older sibs was to try to train them too early. By the time there were 5 kids in the house I had no time or strength to fool around with training, and was amazed how easy it was when they reached 3.
