Per the dictionary, career counseling and career coaching are similar.

With today's growing trend of folks going into business for themselves or working from home, career counseling has become popular. Why? People are being very careful with their funds with the economy the way it is has been.

Author Nicholas Lore who runs the Rockport Institute has a program called the The Pathfinder Entrepreneur Program which shows you the best way to make sure you choose the kind of business you will thrive in.

Yes, there are tons of self-help books out there and information on the internet - nothing beats learning from someone that has been running a very successful business for over 30 years.

True, tons of books out there and many available in your local library - F R E E to borrow.

Our library website has a section when we log into our account, where we can keep book lists. I usually keep a list of books there that I want to read as I hear about new books. That way I don't have to remember, "what was the name of that book? Nor do I have to check them out all at once. A great tool if your library website has it.

easterHi Dianne:

Yes, the library has always been my favorite place to be whether it is borrow a book, use their computers or hook my laptop to their free wi-fi.

With the recession I am noticing more people are now hanging out in the library.

We have to make sure we do our part to keep as much of them open as we can due to the famous budget cuts.

Thanks for stopping by!
