I try to be fair about everything and I have a few friends who frequently beat up their boyfriends and husbands and use the fact they are female to justify it.It is just as wrong and I am just as bothered by that as men beating up women. There are so many social stereotypes. There are times when the woman is stronger or the man stands there and takes it. It doesn't seem like there is anything he can do and I am bothered by the violence against women of course, but also against men too. We are a violent society!

How is it you'd have or want to be friends with women who beat up their husbands? I've been in an abusive relationship and I wouldn't spend the time of day, let alone be friends with anyone who beat someone else. They may hide it at first but once you know why stick around?

I'm certain there are women who do. I've personally not encountered them. I have encountered women who fight back. Me? I'd just leave. It's a waste of energy.

My experience has been the 2 abusers I've known, in both cases told their friends I was crazy, abused them, and put the marks on my body myself. I'll never spend another wasted moment on someone like that again. They're cowards and use the ploy they're abused to shift blame.

It works sometimes because most women don't like to brag about being abused. They're silent, embarrassed and for awhile paralyzed by what to do if anything and feel hopeless.

Once the truth comes out and they're willing to get help, the tables usually turn and doors begin to open for them.
