He lied. It doesn't matter because Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro also lied. They used steroids. Roger Clemens was my favorite player, and I did not want him to go to jail. Nor did most other baseball fans.

Apparently the jury, who were presented with the most damning evidence the prosecutors could provide didn't think so.

Why is Clemens lying any more likely than his accuser, Brian McNamee, lying?

McNamee's wife testified that he lied in his testimony about conversations with her.

I don't believe that ballplayers taking drugs, gambling, or having unsasfe sex is anything that the Congress of the United States should be or should have been involved with. IMO, the Congress has more important issues to address.
