You can train your abs and core until you're ready to collapse or worst but it won't do a bit of good if you're not eating a healthy diet.

I recently lose an inch around my waist and I only train abs once a week (sometimes not at all). Flat abs and a smaller waist are made in the kitchen not in the gym. More on this topic coming later this week.
