I noticed that Dr. Who isn't on right now on our local PBS. Our schedule pretty well mirrors the rest of the USA. Does anyone know when it will start up again?

What was the last episode? If it was "The Wedding of River Song" then you are up to date.

The next series is due out on the BBC later this year.

Do you what date in the fall the series is likely to be back on in the US?

My oldest child checks the tv schedule each week. A date would help a lot,if anyone knows what it is now.

It seems that the first episode of the new series is likely to air on BBC on 25 August.

I assume BBC America - www.bbcamerica.com/doctor-who/ - will air it in the USA on the same date or soon afterwards.

23 November 2013 will be the 50th anniversary of the first episode of Dr Who..

Well the Doc's back on Brit TV - and it was the third episode of this series tonight - 15th September. So we've had daleks, dinosaurs (on a spaceship!) and now it's cowboys!

Don't you just love cowboys?

OK yeah the cowboy thing was great - even when he went in to a Wild West bar and tried to look cool and it so didn't work... (this articulated by the children I was watching it with).

I really liked Rory. The way he was frequently overlooked or overpowered by Amy helped make the character as well. Amy could be annoying, but her annoyingness is part of what made Rory so likable.
