My ex and I are slowly, very slowly inching back toward being friends. I think it's easier this time because we both realize that we are best as friends and it was time to let go any thoughts of ever getting back together (AGAIN) and slowly moving past the extreme anger we both have unleashed at each other in the last few months.

Life is so good when you get rid of the anger... Better for you, better for kids if you have them...and yeah, better for him too. :-)

That is good to hear, Dianne. Restoring peace is the best thing you can do, especially for the children. You and your ex will be happier when there is respect and courtesy between you.

I can definitely relate. After almost 4 years, my ex and I are just starting to speak to each other. The kids are very happy about that. It was super hard, but oddly comforting. If that makes any sense.

Christine, it makes perfect sense! Sometimes it takes awhile, the importance is that we make the effort for the kids.
