Hi Christin I really enjoyed reading your article 'Can You Teach Yourself Tarot?' After many years of my grandad trying and failing to teach me to read cards,I eventually found the best way for me was to teach my self, I was told that if cards were read too often,it would weaken the connection, but I found that repetitive practice really helped me .I see it as a mutual respect ,they understand my commitment to them ,and it has strengthened the bond I found that its a mix of practice ,intuition, reflection and memory ,I keep a journal which is a mix of fact, plans ,rants drawings ,and in the corner i write my days/weeks cards then I look back and on the journal to find patterns occurring..

As mentioned in other threads I had trouble reading the cards until a Witch who ran a Pagan shop taught me. Recently I found a book covering the same principles I was shown. It's called The Two Hour Tarot Tutor
