Debbie, I should have asked Beetle to get the rope swing up there. He can tie knots real good and lasso the tree limb from shore.

Granpappy is all settled and comfy now on his blanket with his coffee. He is waiting for Jilly to appear in a bikini. I told him this is a cut-off and t-shirt thing, not bikinis. But...you know how Granpappy is. He's a'waitin' for his sweetie to appear.

Dad burn it! I go off to the dump to get a tire for a tree swing & Granpappy done busted himself up.

Well, at least I have this tractor tire & it should fit a couple side-by-side, if the rope's strong enough. Maybe we ougha use a tow chain.

I know Beetle. It is unbelievable. Granpappy thinks he is still a spring chicken. It must be all the excitement for him when Jilly comes a calling.

You know, I call him Old Coot and he calls me Little Coot, and i think he thinks we are flirting.

Ohhhh myyyy gosh, Jilly. When you said "coot" I remembered some images I once looked at and loved. I would love to start a collection of them. Take a look see:
