So it's about a widow who had a horrible husband and she has a crippled leg and one day she meets a man on the streets after he saves her son from being hit by a carriage (she has a son and a daughter) and she later finds out that he is a "prince" but really he is just pretending to be a prince to seek out his enemys from his past who had framed him for stealing a bowl I think and got him sent away to America I think. And later he finds out that the woman is actually the wife of one of his enemys who died but he falls in love with her anyways. Side notes: she didn't get along with her family at all, her cousin was the other enemy of the Prince's who was actually trying to marry the woman off to somebody else only for her money because her dead husband had put their family in so much debt, at the end her cousin kidnaps her son but the prince impostor saves him, and it all took place back in England somewhere around the 1800s. Please help! I know I read this book but none of my local librarians can seem to figure out what it is....
