Oh, you wrote the article. This whole using a completely incorrect word thing in your title kind of takes away from the point you are trying to make, wouldn't you agree?

According to your article, ALEC is attempting to influence the American voting system, to shape it, to sway it, to direct it, in fact to prejudice or corrupt it, but it is not trying to debunk it.

Nor is that group trying to "debunk the core structure of the American family".

Just because a word sounds catchy ...
