I actually am sitting on the porch swing with one of the hounds. His head is in my lap and he's just watching everyone go by.

I'd love a nice cool home brew! Not grampa's hootch, mind you.

Debbie, that's funny. I was just thinking this morning about how you should ride your horses here!

Great way to get here, Debbie. Hiking up the path from the hollow is sometimes pretty strenuous.

Supper is on -- come and get it! Navy bean and ham soup with huge chunks of hot homemade bread and lots of butter is on the table.

Oh! and brownies for dessert. Welcome Vi, Jilly, and Debbie. Is this a girl's night out? After supper we can spruce up and head down to the village to the pub. Yay! Dancing with all those cowboys down there otta make for a fun evening.

I just got in and I put up my horse in the back. She is grazing on that sweet grass and quite relaxed after that nice ride.

Phyllis, a nice hot meal is exactly what I need after that ride. Let me go wash my face and hands and I will be at the table in a jiffy. I want to get it while it's hot. I set the brownies on the counter so we can all nibble on them after supper. Dang, this place sure smells good! I love bean soup.

I am game for a little dancing. I always liked cowboys......

Cowboys are a special kind of guy. My Dad and eldest brother were cowboys.

There is just something about their cowboy boots, hats and swagger that always touches my heart. Oh! I wrote a poem once about cowboys, let me go see if I can find it to post here.
