I fell asleep the other night while doing a meditation. Earlier that day I had been doing some Tarot article outlines for here and for my blog which likely led to my dream below but first a touch of background.

Lately I have had some issues with my son being bullied at school and administrators not working with me, the death of a pet, my house being torn up because of a kitchen rehab that is going on much longer than it should. Just typical stressful situations that have kind of built up.

I guess I was working it out via Tarot and my dream world at the same time, because I had a dream I was back in school as a student. I was there with a lot of different people, some I recognized from the past and others were people who are in my sons school etc. I don't remember a lot of details, just that we were all testing into various grades and that some people had cards face down on their desks they were not allowed to look at until after the "placement testing" was over.

Anyway, curiosity got the better of some of the people and I saw them peeking and saw some of the actual cards. Some were pleasantly surprised and others were horribly offended. I can't remember very well who had which cards save a few and those all made sense.

When temptation got the better of me I broke the "no looking" rule and had a peek. The card I got was a fool reversed. I think that points to a lot of truth in what I've been facing lately. Feeling a bit powerless with the situation with my son because it doesn't seem the school takes our concerns seriously enough. (a fellow 5th grader threatened to bring a knife to school. I worry for our kids these days)

I also had to drop my classes for summer semester because husband is working so many hours it just isn't possible for me to do. My friends are graduating and I am still stuck with only 5-6 classes to go and I can't seem to get them done! lol My kitchen is in shambles entering week 3 and last week we shelled out over 900 bucks for car repairs lol. So, needless to say feeling a bit more stress than normal.

Anyway, long story short I thought it was interesting I had a dream featuring Tarot cards that gave me messages. Any of you Tarot enthusiasts ever dream up a Tarot reading?

Bullying is unacceptable. Period. Here is what I think will help:

*Put your concerns in writing to the administrators. Ask them to respond in writing. (Know that they cannot tell you specifics, like student names and discipline, but they can tell you in general what they have been doing.)

*If you are not satisfied with their response, send your response back to them and cc the Superintendent of Schools and the School Board President.

*Does your child have a disability? If so, go to wrightslaw.com and read about what they recommend. You might also go to an advocacy group like Families Together.

You should always try to settle things amicably. However, if they are not taking the issue seriously, and your child feels threatened, it is time for you to advocate strongly for your child's needs.

Christin, I think tarot is such a developed form of symbolism that is sort of like a language. I have heard that people who get good in a foreign language know they are really getting good when they start dreaming in that language. Perhaps this is your experience.

I hear you on this kind of bullying and we have been taking the appropriate steps. Legally in my state they cannot tell you if your child is being bullied. Isn't that something? So teachers keep quiet because they don't want to get sued etc. I feel for them too the whole rock and a hard place thing. It would appear this situation is finally being addressed however.

AKLisa - I hadn't thought of it like that, but I suppose that could be the case. I wonder what it means when you dream of foreign languages that you don't speak. I've had that happen a couple of times in my life Thanks for the input.
