Don't be intimidated by rice wrappers. Once you have experimented with them, they are not difficult to use. This recipe uses my Oriental Cabbage Salad as a base for tasty and simple rice wrapper soft rolls. Variations and recipes for two dipping sauces are included.

One of the great things about rice wrappers is that you can use what you have on-hand.

Today I had some baby greens with herbs, sauteed vegetables, and a leftover potsticker.

I heated the veggies and potsticker and chopped them up. Then, they were added to the baby greens on a rice wrapper. With some peanut sauce and teriyaki sauce, they were yummy. Plus, leftovers were used!

Rice wrappers are great to take small bits of this and that from the fridge and make a lovely and tasty treat. Serve them with a super dipping sauce!

Rice Wrapper Soft Rolls were a bonus feature this month!

Hi Connie,

Really like the concept of Rice Wrapper Soft Rolls.
When I first read the article, what immediately came to mind would be filling them with anything MOO SHU, such as pork, beef, lamb, chicken, or shrimp. Also, there is Sichuanese dish made with woon sen noodles/transparentvermicelli and diced pork called "Ants Climbing Tree" that would be very compatable with them.

Hi Les, I almost missed your post.

You are so right; all of those foods would be wonderful fillings for the soft rolls.

With warm weather coming on, we'll be eating more soft rolls. Thanks for the suggestions.
