Has anyone seen Contraband with Mark Wahlberg? It's one of 4 movies that I rented from the $1 video store today. It's a good movie, then again I am a fan of Mark - it's acting isn't bad either...LOL...

So if you saw it, what do you think?

I thought it was pretty good, Shooter was better.
I like a lot of movies the Wahlberg is in, as well. I still remember him singing those corny dance/pop songs back from the late 80's though. Hard to believe he is in the roles he is in nowadays!
Contraband was a little easy to predict what was going to happen. I love the choice of cities they used for the movie, the cities tied together because of the ports nicely. They are both places I would like to visit someday.

I agree Lisa, Shooter was definitely a better movie, but I am Wahlberg fan!

There was still a lot to like in Contraband. The main villain was just an icky person - made my skin crawl. Even some of the more predictable moments till had me glued to see how the writers were going to get to the next step.

I have to ask - did you see Wahlberg in Date Night? If you enjoy his physical appearance, that movie may be appreciated by you!

I did see Date Night, it as ok. After much thought, I've determined that I actually prefer him in action movies.

I saw Contraband. It wasn't bad, but I think that it's definitely a rental. Didn't see Shooter though, so need to add that to my list...

Good movie, i give it an 8+.
