I would not buy a new computer because of this issue but if you were already thinking about it then it might not be worth fixing the problem.
It sound like there is a problem with the Click-2-Run configuration/application. The Click-2-Run is a virtual version of Microsoft office - it runs from a server at Microsoft and not on your computer.
If you Google the phrase Click-2-Run there a lot of people who have encountered the same error as you and have found ways to fix the problem. You will have to perform some research to see if any of the solutions will fix your issue. I can help you along but can't point you at an exact solution - it will be a trial and error experience.
Another possible option, depending on your machine, is to perform a backup and restore to the factory settings. Many manufacturers provide a recovery partition or CD that will reset everything back to same configuration as when you bought the machine. Be careful - it deletes *everything* so make sure you have a good backup before attempting.
