Darn I missed this teaser. Ah heck wouldn't have known the answer anyway. I had a friend with a kinkajou they are certainly interesting little pets. As you mentioned in the article they do need a tall and large cage or more of an enclosure.

It isn't fair to not give an animal what it needs for basic survival, their instincts say to climb so we have to provide them with the tools to provide for that instinct. We can't be exotic pet owners if we don't supply their needs. We can't just give them food and water, basic necessities are also social needs.
