Wow, the episode finally happened. I've been waiting for this for months it seems, which has affected my watching of every other episode in between. I'm so glad it's finally done with.

I found I couldn't even watch (look at the screen) much of this episode. It was just upsetting me too much. I could only listen. Their actions were annoying me so much.

And this entire time I had been hoping Conda would go home - and she didn't! So that made it even more annoying. I have to believe she was a prime instigator for this. So she pushed other people into leaving, and then sat back and reaped the rewards of it.

It all seemed so childish. They ALWAYS bring people back. It's how the show works! It was even stated right in the contract that people would have a chance to come back in. So they wanted the show to violate its own contract? They wanted the kicked-off contestants to not have their legally stated chance to come back on? Because they felt it might hurt their own chances of winning?

And then for Conda to snidely say that Kim should be the one to go because clearly Kim didn't work as hard as Jeremy did was utter nonsense. It made me feel even more strongly that she should have left.

The entire episode upset me.

I also wonder, with the numbers they lost, if it really was only "a week" since the last weigh-in as they were saying. Maybe it was more like two?

I was very pleased with this episode, but then i knew this was the week it was coming. I really think i understood what was going on with Mark and Buddy. I have a whole timeline established in my head from comments they've made in previous episodes, and from knowledge of what was happening in real time.

My sense is actually: Mark and Buddy were the instigators and it was not because they thought the twist was unfair. It's b/c they figured out what america and their congregations are thinking about them (they are both pastors). Their edits showed them in pretty horrible lights, esp Mark. And Buddy wanted to be an inspiration - and had left his newborn to do so - and instead was labeled a Mean Girl Follower by America. I think the main thing for them was - as Buddy and mark stressed - that they did not want to be pawns of the producers for another moment. They wanted to be in control of their lives and not of the storyline of the 'game'.

If you notice a lot of what happened in the more recent episodes, Mark has become more and more despondent, and made some very interesting comments to the others at the ranch.

I also think it was Conda and Jeremy beating the 'not fair' drum, but never really intended to go anywhere. They are too invested in the game, but like to stir the pot. Drama is fun for Conda, and Jeremy is easy for her to control.

Kim looked extremely uncomfortable the entire time the group had their 'sit in'...i think she was trying to show solidarity with the others, but that her heart was not in the mutiny at all.

All that said, Allison seemed really, really cheesed off. Good for her.

Lisa, it had to be 2 weeks, since the previous 2 episodes were both at the White House on the same day.

Hmmm I suppose compared with many other players I never thought of Mark or Buddy as being particularly bad. I definitely thought other players were bad. Maybe it's all relative.

The worst players were Conda, Kim and Mark. Kim redeemed herself for me when she stook up for cassandra and emily. But with mark, it was too little too late.

Buddy was simply an alliance sheep. He did what Mark told him to.

Mark only started being nicer after he went home and heard how America hated him. He even had an avalanche of letters sent to his ministry complaining about his Mean Girl ways and how that wasn't a suitable image for a youth pastor.

In hawaii, Mark even says about the Britts, "you guys are horrible; no wonder America hates you."

And he tried to make it up to the audience by trying to talk sympathetically with Kim. I thiml it REALLY bugged him ho America perceived him. I wish him luck professionally with the bullying he did on national TV.

Buddy isn't perceived well because of his sheep nature. I think he didn't like that the producers were 'casting' him in that way. Maybe there were many scenes with Buddy says, "mark, calm down; we need to be men of God and set an example." If so, they didn't show it.

But since they didn't feel they were being shown the way they'd hoped, they walked.

Maybe that's an argument for them *not* going home, if they can try to change behavior based on feedback up to that point.

i don't agree with what they did, but i do respect that they decided to have no more of it.

but darn, was hoping Conda was leaving. Oh well, we are stuck with her. Did you know there is a facebook page called I Dislike Conda? It has many, many fans. Her family doesn't particularly like it.

It does show that even on reality shows, there are consequences for bad behavior.

Hmmm I'm torn about the Facebook page. On one hand I agree that I dislike her behavior and feel it was inappropriate. On the other hand, having a page dedicated to picking on another person also feels inappropriate to me. She's on a path and she's just not very advanced yet. People should be trying to help her improve, not laughing while they bash her. In my opinion smile

It used to be called the I Hate Conda page. Facebook seems to have made them change that. Which I can see. FB should not be a hate platform.

I still find the idea of the page amusing, even though it's not very nice.

This is the kind of thing Mark learned about when he saw his family. Since then he has been trying to upgrade his image. I think Buddy was oblivious though, until just before the mutiny. I am sure he was thinking, "here i missed the birth of my child and the entire newborn part and America thinks I am a jerk? I am trying to change my life!"

I think when Buddy learned how he was perceived he was deeply hurt. You could see it in his face and body language in the mutiny ep. Mark was already primed to go, based on his little comments from during the traveling eps.

Poor Mrs. Obama. frown
