For me, finding peaceful time to connect with myself is crucial for my well being. Some things I like to do: relax outside, take a walk in nature, spend time with my horses and ride, plant flowers and garden, listen to relaxing music, sit quietly with lit candles to reflect, and to read a good book.

What activities do you find bring a lightness and calm to your spirit? Please share.

Watching the boats go down the river, listening to spiritual lectures, contemplating God, talking to Connie, maintaining the pool, feeding the cats, taking out the trash, opening windows, getting the mail, watching the cats, taking a shower, eating.

I too like to look at boats and waterways. Any water body is soothing and serene. Calm water is very tranquil. Also I love to stand on a beach and look out onto the ocean, feeling the breeze on my face, listening to the seagulls and the waves, and smelling the fresh air. It is truly invigorating and peaceful at the same time.

It sure is pleasant and beautiful to have so warm-hearted sincere friends in a society that is cold and brutal.

Don't they know that without The Great Mother that they could not exist ?

Let's hope that man and womankind en masse will want to view the beauty of life and appreciate it and nurture it whether or not they are in a male or female body !

When I'm in need of a super charge, I either meditate or practice self-hypnosis.

When I'm in need of healing, either physical or spiritual, I practice Reiki.

For day to day connecting with Self, nothing beats sitting on the front porch with a glass of lemonade or wine and listening to the sounds of nature.

This might sound strange to some but I also enjoy washing dishes to connect with Self. Since I don't have a dish washer so this is always a quiet time in my kitchen...lol.

Nature's beauty is truly a gift to us. We should do all we can to appreciate it and to protect it. Nature can be a comfort to us in a sometimes cold and material world. I think spending time in the natural world around us is one of the best forms of therapy to relieve stress and to achieve inner peace, and it does not cost a thing. A true gift indeed....

I also derive great comfort from learning and researching things in my areas of interest.
