This week sees some good info on growing your own strawberries in containers and small space garden patches like raised beds; and now is a good time to get some good plants from your local nursery and garden centre.

Strawberries are one of my favourite fruit so guess I will be joining you if you choose to grow some. I hope so, they are packed full of goodness and just so delicious too. Picture the rosey cheeks and energy that will accompany a long glass of fresh homegrown strawberry juice. Easy to do not so?

Hi there all,

Do you think Strawberries are easier to grow in hanging baskets or would you vote and go for raised beds (at the end of your deck say) or planters and/or other types of containers?

Do you get enough of a yield to make sure you carry on with your strawberry containers or is there too little and you find yourself buying in more than you grow for your needs?

I would appreciate some comment and an opinion if you are growing your own, thanks
