Hello there,

Do you have children interested in gardening?

Do they have 'their own' containers?

What have they grown so far? Have they become hooked on gardening?

Were they patient enough to see the plants growing?

Were they pleased to pick flowers or fruit or veges for you?

I would be interested in finding out about your children and grandchildren in the garden - write a note if you can and will and I say thanks,

My kids both had their own little garden patch Lestie, and especially my eldest son, my youngest had asthma so did not have quite the same experience, just loved to rush out in the morning and see what had developed overnight. Picking his own strawberries, peas, tomatoes and salad, and admiring the sunflowers as they not so gradually grew taller than he was at the time.

It was such a fun time for me....................and I think also for them. wink

We have a family garden at home.

But, I also help lead the garden club at my children's school. There is a waiting list to get in it! And, we expanded our garden to twice its size the second half of the school year.

All the children at the school love the garden - each class has a planter in our garden. Different classes visit the garden for a variety of different things - science lesson, math lesson, reading time. The whole school has embraced it. The children love bringing home veggies from the garden.
