It's time to go to work but with an extra helper. Today is bring your daughter to work day and you know what that means. She should come out more responsible and inspired by what she sees in your work place. Take a look at some ideas for interaction at the office to help with her day.

Hello Readers,

In honor of Take your daughters and sons to work day. I have one of my sons that stayed home with me today. I encourage all of my children to reach for the sky when it comes to their career goals. When a day like this comes around I look forward to helping them research their career goals and the importance of reaching them through school and work.

He has been busy with me as I picked his teenage brain for ideas on girl's (boy did that get interesting, especially when it came to his sister). He is a college student - who is in his first year of school. He has a question that he would like to present to readers. His name is Theodis and he is pursuing a career in illustration.

QUESTION:
What do you do at your job, how much time do you spend at that job, and how much time before or afterwards do you spend with your family? If not time, at least to talk to you daughters or sons?

So tell me. How did it go today? What career goals did you discuss with your son or daughter today. How did they like your place of business and the job you do? And finally did he or she feel like you do at the end of the day? Thanks for participating in today's celebration day. And a special Thanks to the many sons and daughters that took off from school to enjoy personal time with their parent's. I hope this allowed you to research your current career goals or at least put you on the right path. Thanks again!

I will start. I am a writer and editor which gives me the advantage to working from home. I spend the entire evening with my kids helping them with homework or personal talk time. I spend every day talking with my kids as you know. I have four children and each of them have a day of the week that they get the opportunity to spend 2 hours of that day alone with mom. We talk, we draw, we write, we paint, we read, we even walk and run together. I really enjoy being a mom of three boys and one girl. It can get interesting around the house sometimes. I hope you are enjoying your day with mom.

I work full time as an HR Manager, I write, I'm also Pres-elect of the DCSHRM chapter, so my days are pretty full. It's hard when you're a single parent to be everything. My kids are a bit older, but I make sure the time I do spend with my kids everyday is QUALITY time, not just face time - even if we're just sitting watching a TV program we enjoy, we always discuss the program during commercials about lessons learned. We have a great time!

Hello Ms. Dianne,

Thank you for responding to my post. I'm glad to see that my mom isn't the only only one still spending that kind of time. It was an experience being apart of my mom's world on this day. Thank you for responding!

Hi Theodis,

I'm so sorry I missed your post here. How are you? And thank YOU for writing me back. I have 2 sons and one daughter.

Your mom is a wonderful woman and we have a lot in common! I'm glad you enjoyed your time with her - she deserves it! Give her a special mom's hug!

Feel free to write me anytime and I promise to check back in here more often!
