Amen to that Jilly.

We can only control ourselfs and our environment.

All else we have to set free to the greater laws of cosmos.

For days now I have had something on my mind about our returning vets. Every time I turn on the boob-tube I see a commercial for "wounded warriors" and several other groups that try and assist them back into the mainstream if they can. If I want to find out about what others go through so that I can identify with them I ask the great Mother to show me. In this situation it is what these returning vets faced when they got home.

For a little bit I was in utter torment. Things were happening all around me that I had no control over. It passed quickly but I caught a glimpse of what they suffer upon their return.

They are still in the war. Even home safe with family and kids there is no release from the horrors suffered by many of these folks. I do not have a clue as to what they go through over there but I do know what war is on a different level.

Allow me please to share a few more things about the being that we know as the great Mother.

She is all about eternal love, patience, enduring, and nurturing. She has literally saved my life several times as well as many members in my family back five centuries. She has given us wisdom in how to deal with some difficult people and impossible situations over the years. Sometimes a profound expression of the deepest unconditional love is the only remedy to turn some around. That type of wisdom is older than the core of the solar system.

This is one side of Her and She is a master at what She does. The other side of her is quite different. Please allow me to continue.

She is all about warfare when needed and is skilled at the arts of redressing a balance when innocent ones are being threatened. She does not back away from any duty or threat.

My point here is that she has the equipment to survive and will share what She knows with any that inquire of Her. I have not dealt with many vets in session in the past but when I do I inquire about their belief system and if it is helping them recover. If not I will share about Her with them. Only one that is skilled at war can understand another that has been so affected by it.

When my Grandmother laid her hands on me at a very early age she transfered knowledge and a spirit to me. From that point on I was different. I didn't have to say a word to soon find that certain people took offence at me just because I was me. I don't know for sure but I believe that I appeared as one that was too different for their liking or that I might have been a threat to them. I found at a very early age that I did not fit too well into society. What kid doesn't want to be just like the others???

That is past now but I had to learn how to defend myself in later years. I had no choice.

I had a very good friend that was a policeman for many years. He was a spiritual guy and we would talk about this thing called life. He once told me something that I readily identified with. He said that there are just two types of people on the earth. One is the warriors and the other is the group that they protect. He was not a part of my family but he certainly knew a couple things about life.

In ancient cultures many times it was the women that were the warriors. Do the homework to bear this out. They, yet slighter in stature, were more cunning, swifter in action because of size, and were very adept at the hows and whys of defence and protection.

If a man could learn from these ancient warriors, setting aside all ego that he was being taught by a woman, he would become a deadly and fearless warrior yet a very solid and loving dad and husband..

I know that the great Mom can help anybody and therefore she can readily help those that have returned from the battlefield, in mind, body, and spirit. Just open the door. Blessed be

The vets do have it tough, Dave. My brother-in-law suffers right now because of what he has been through. Not only was he permanently affected by what he witnessed overseas, but he is physically ill as well. He has a few different debilitating conditions that are very hard to diagnose and to treat. He will never be well and he needs a wheelchair now if a lot of walking has to be done. He is just too weak.

It is the fault of the military that he is so ill. I don't want to make trouble by telling what really happened to him, but it was imposed on him and a mistake was made, one which will never be owned up to. I don't know how long my brother-in-law will live. He is 43 with two young boys. My sister is a mess.

This man has fought battles and went on many tours of duty. He was in special forces in his last military position. He was only a few years from retirement if he had wanted that when he fell ill. For two years he was told his condition was all in his head and he was not properly diagnosed or treated. Because the military swept this under the rug his condition is much worse now, and someone is finally taking notice of his illness but it is very late in the game. There is no cure.

The vets give so much and sacrifice so much, and many are not cared for properly when they come home. It is sad and despicable. I hope the Great Mother can help these selfless men and women who suffer after all they have given to keep us safe in the states.

No need for fear Burt. Its a process of looking within and letting the illusionary go. It just happens and we find a greater security than ever before. We are SO not used to doing that in this culture. We must allow for change. Blessed Be

Sometimes its uncomfortable to change a course of observation and action. So many refuse to change until the circumstances overcome us. That makes it much harder to flow with it. So many are rigid and when they are that stiff they are brittle and can fracture. Look all around us. Those that are open and flexible can bend with the wind no matter how forcefully it blows. This is a time for change and a course of action. What used to work might have little affect anymore no matter how much we try to force it to stay. The past is gone and is now a time of preparation. Blessed Be

I want to just give the big ol world a hug.

Jilly, That is the kindest and most gentle sentiment that I have ever heard when speaking about the world. If you only knew that your words were the exact sentiment of another great lady that I know. dave

Thank you, Jilly. The world is indeed hurting, and things have got to change or it will only get worse. We need to look to the Great Mother for guidance. We have to do our best to spread love and peace around us, and if we can't save the world then we have to save ourselves. Blessed Be.
