I asw this film yesterday - was not convinced I would enjoy it, but actually had one of the best nights out I have had in a long time, It is an exquisitely observced film, a new twist on the English abroad. Stars include Judi Dench, Dev Patel and Maggie Smith.

Great review Asha, very detailed, and what a fabulous cast that is. Love Judi Dench in virtually anything, and all the other actors are brilliant. It sounds like a treasure trove of good acting together with a fun idea and excellent script.

Am really looking forward to seeing it, just watching the trailer made me laugh out loud.

Francine I've rarely seen a film where I've been laughing from the start - and I have a loud and distinctive laugh! At times the film is uncomfortable - for instance there is a character who has a racist streak - yet part of the joy of the film is how attitudes are turned...
