This forum was started years ago by those interested in discussing the Goddess. The Mother Goddess has many names in many different cultures and appears to those differently in each. How I describe the Great Mother according to what my family discovered may not be as others perceive Her. That is perfect and as it should be.

Since I have knowledge of the one that we have known for 500 years then that is the only definition of the Mother that I can speak about. Please allow me to go into greater depth of the one that I am most familiar with.

I wish to bring up this fact one more time but only to paint a picture. The reason for the division of the Catholic Church five centuries ago at the hands of Luther was that the See had become so corrupt that the cosmos stepped in and said enough. My feeling is that the Mother was tired of her kids being stepped on.

The church is however no different than any other powerful force within the midst of the populace. It can become corrupt just like a government or any other force when people allow it to be so. Now days there are people that hate certain corrupt governments. They hate the church because of corruption. Now on a more personal scale many hate their own lives and daily situations. Whose fault is that? Is it the governments? Is it the churches? No, we have to start taking responsibility for ourselves.

I am not preaching for everybody to jump on the bandwagon here and convert to my views of the Great Mother. I do however want to express how She showed a little band of lost people how to become found and responsible for their own actions.

People love to be lead. They want mommy to do their thinking for them all of their lives so they don't have to. Thusly we have allowed dictators and corruption to grow to hideous proportions. We want a church or a government to think for us which puts undue pressure on them that they have no capacity to handle. Why should they? That is our job!!!! Governments are formed to govern the general laws of the land for the protection of the masses but not personal rights or freedoms. That is our responsibility. Churches have been formed to help protect and nurture the masses in a spiritual
way but each one may be different for each different application. When we try to force one government or one church onto a whole body of people we have defiled not only personal freedom but also the intention of a divinely true deity. People with no belief in a deity must also be equally respected and honored. Maybe some of these folks have been horribly abused by the followers of such and now need their freedom. What ever the state be of each person as long as each one can live peaceably next to another they must be honored and acknowledged as a part of the whole. That is a concrete spiritual law. To go against that has less to do with breaking a commandment or a code of ethics or a man made creed as much as it has to do with going against our very DNA. Every person at any level must be allowed to find their way. Expecting others to be where we are is blindness and can lead to ruthlessness. My Great Mother ALLOWS.

She has no desire to be worshiped. She wants everyone of Her own to find their core within themselves. She allows all religions or lack thereof. She is pure and unfettered love yet will disappear into the universe instantly when not wanted or needed.

Mankind must find himself within. Our past mistakes are due to our trust in others to lead us. We believe that this next election might just save us. Until we come to grips within our own being we will never be happy. That is why I say "look within."

So many now-days want the government to be large. That's because we still want an external leader. When a government becomes large it will foster a dictator and we have paved a way for it. Man loves to be the leader and flow on the energy and worship of the masses. That is the most dangerous man or woman in the universe!!

This is how he is created; Another man will lead us and then we don't have to think for ourselves. We'll be home free and then there will be peace!!! He or she has our total interest at heart and we need to trust that person with all of our being. They will save us !! We need no concern !!

It will never never never never happen!!!!! We don't like to hear these words because we want to stay toddlers and follow others or anything else.

The Mother that I know has a lot of kids around the table but when they are grown up she breaks the dinner plate and says its time to cut the apron strings.

We can no longer blame the church, the governments, or anyone else. It is our own personal fault for what our current conditions are. We have allowed everything or everyone else to lead us except the most important and powerful force that has ever been,,,,,,That that is within. I know another guy that said the same thing but because we all wanted to stay infants we disposed of him promptly. Blessed Be

There is the finest gold and the greatest beauty inside. It is there and nothing can shake it. We are complete, have always been, and are forever.

Three days ago I had a disheartening experience with a very dear friend of mine. We are very spiritually close and have helped each other a lot. We began to have a disagreement that escalated and caused both of us to become very agitated and spiritually shaken. We finally reached a point of calmness where we could let it go for right then.

I believe there was some interference in the connection my friend and I have that broke our peace for a short while and caused friction.

I communed with the Mother for a long time about it and asked Her to bless and heal my friend and I, to heal our spirits, and to guide us back to peace. The Mother heard my cry and my friend and I are once again able to be at peace with each other, with a new understanding.

Blessed Be...

I think if we interact with anyone long enough there will be bad moments. The trick, to me, is to learn to not get too caught up in them at the time, get some distance on whatever it is, and try to let things go. Most disagreements don't actually seem to be hugely important in retrospect.

Faith can certainly help with this, or the idea of letting the river carry us away...

I agree with that, Jilly, to flow with the river. Unfortunately this was one bout I could not easily withdraw from since the fragile soul of my friend was at stake and he was scared and losing control. We managed to get to a place where he was calm enough to sleep it off with a promise that I would be there (spiritually) when he awoke.
