I have been pondering how I could have an impact on bringing awareness; encourage appreciation, and help preserve our beautiful planet. Everyday, not just Earth Day. How can you help? For humans, pets, and exotic pets how can we bring awareness that we are destroying our planet?

Earth Day - How Have Humans Impacted the Earth?

There is one scene when agent smith talks to morpheus,and says .
There is in a body one thing that invades a region ,multiply ,destroys every thing good in that region.It is called aVIRUS.Humans are the virus of this planet ,they move to a new place,multiply and destroy everything in that region,then move on again and start the same thing again.
The worst thing on this planet are the humans.

I totally agree with that movie.We are not the first civilisation to destroy this planet,we are the 5 th or 6th civilisation to live and destroy where they live.

Gaia,mother earth,is not hurt by what is happening to her.
The ozone hole, the pollution,does not affect the planet at all.
One day,one moment gaia will cleanse the planet another time.
Proof that she has done this before ,is lake Titicaca,the highest
lake in the world, yet is it so salty .no life can survive in it.

Humans are the source of all problems.J>Y>Cousteau the great
oceanograf,said 25 to30 years ago if this planet is to survive
100,000 people must die every day we were 2 billions then we are now close to 7.

So live your life,as spiritually as possible,don't eat meat,just live the NOW, the end is coming much sooner than we think. Not for the planet,but for the sentients beings on this planet whatever they may be.

I believe our thoughts are very similar on this subject. I believe we past the 7 billion mark a couple of months ago. We take and take and never think about the consequences. We don't value the life essences in all things. Heck, most people don't feel the life essence in all things. If people did you're not apt to destroy. By the way, I did see The Matrix.

Many nations as reaching zero population group. In fact, some nations are beginning to have a negative population growth. Some countries are offering money again. Go figure. In the end, our greed will do us in.

What are your plans for Earth Day? Is it still possible to undo the damage we have done? What damage have we done? What can we do about it?

We don't have to wait until Earth Day each year to help reverse some of our problems. We could start today, a day before Earth Day, and even work hard the rest of the year.

Who has thought about Earth Day tomorrow? What can we as individuals do to help reverse the damage to our planet?

Through humanity's greed and our choice to ignore much of what we have done, we have created our own demise. It won't be thousands of years and I doubt if it will be hundreds of years. It will be another extinction of a civilization. The volume changes of glaciers and ice caps as seen in satellite imagery, the volume of ice decreased significantly. We have seen climate change in the past but limited to smaller areas of geography, not whole planet event. The earth again will heal but humans won't be around to enjoy it.

There are many wildlife preserves scattered throughout the country. I doubt if I have ever lived anywhere where there wasn't some sort of wetland preserve, wildlife preserve, national forest. Many of these places have exceptional programs, hands on experience for children and their families. Last year we had gone for a ride and came upon a preserve where we enjoyed the trails. It is really neat because most if not all have handicapped trails now. Anyway, a program for families was in progress. It was an incredible experience. The eyes of the children lit up in wonder. Cell phones were not to be seen, stashed in pockets and forgotten.

Even doing things that put our food supplies in jeopardy was stupid. We had hundres of like foods, an example potatoes. They hybridize a potato that grows faster but, one potato type that is wiped out from one disease. This is true of just about every single crop now.

The new hybridized seeds/plants need a lot more nutrients to grow too. They may grow faster but at a enormous cost.
