Hi Ms. M.

There are a lot of videos out there promising to get a good workout in just 10 minutes. Are those 10 minute videos helpful or a waste of time?

I have one and I think the answer is "both".

I find my ten-minute exercise video works best if I stack several "ten minutes" on top of each other.

However, on days when I don't really have time to exercise - then I think the quick ten minutes can be helpful and better than nothing.

I agree that any 10 minute workout is better than doing nothing at all BUT if you want maximum results from a 10 minute workout (you want to burn major fat, boost your metabolism for up to 48 hours post workout, sculpt lean toned muscles lift and firm your trouble zones and all that other stuff women generally want) then you only have 1 option.

Burn Fat Fast 10 Minute Workout

When I was training clients full time many of them were 30 min. sessions so the sessions went something like this

5 min. mobility
10 min. interval training (with bodyweight, dumbbell, trx or bands)
5 min. cardio intervals
5 min. core
5 min. stretching

It was short intense and it worked! I had one client who lost about 20 pounds of nasty fat in 4 weeks this way. He was so stoked about his results his wife called me to say thanks. That was one of the best compliments I ever got for my work.

I used to rely on 10 minute workouts too back when I was personal training full time but now that I work mostly from home I prefer 30 min. workouts plus I do additional stuff before and after that would not be considered fatloss or resistance training related even though it is (mobility, functional exercises, flexibility, etc.)

The best formula is to combine various length workouts. That is the real secret to getting better results but a whole other article which I now can't find. I'll keep looking and post it when I find it.
