Hello everyone!
April 22nd has been designated EARTHDAY and when you look into this is seems that it has all sorts of added names and purposes; all to do with our poor besieged earth.
It seems it is also known as WATER day and EARTHWORM day ... and who knows more besides. You all know how much I love my earthworms so that suits me well, but my question for you container gardeners out there today is
"Do you have any plans or anything specific that you will do in your CG to 'celebrate' this important concept?"
Maybe you will introduce some earthworms? Maybe you will buy a self-watering container or plant box? Maybe you will plant a fruit (or other) tree in a container? Perhaps you will start a compost heap somewhere to feed your containers? Could it be that you will consider going organic and not use chemical pesticides in your container garden?
There is so much you can do - even if it is to plan a waterwise container or sort out a gardening problem ... all will help the earth not so?
Let me know if you're thinking of doing something - I would be very interested. Thanks and say cheers now...
