Based on what Lestie said "With this definition in mind then yes Religious Intolerance is an oxymoron but much the same way Military Intelligence is" would POLITICALLY CORRECT also be a situational oxymoron?

Could any belief system that a person adheres to ever be considered to be an UNBIASED OPINION?

The English language sure as _ _ _ _ has a lot of religious influenced cliches. Here are a few of my favorites in RANDOM ORDER.

Don't be so heavenly minded that you're no earthly good.

God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.

What are your favorite religious influenced cliches?

I was just thinking in addition to writing our own favorite cliches why not "create" our own.

Since I am coming and going from a naturalistic humanistic atheistic agnostic perspective here are a few that I just thought of.

Just because I don't have all of the answers doesn't make me a bad person.

Why on Earth do we need a god?

I'd tell you to go to hell but you'd know that I didn't mean it.

Naturally there is joy, wonder, miracles, and magic all around us.

Any book is "good" if it leads one to the scientific truth.

Everything I do (except dietary-wise) should be Kosher.

All that glitters is not god.

What are your belief system oriented cliches that you have "created?"

Some more of my own instant non time-tested cliches.

I think it means that on the eighth day of the month of July only six hundred and thirty one people smiled once at how absurd life could be and on the twenty first day of July only three hundred and thirty seven acknowledged that asking a question once was okay. On the dates in between there were no observers on duty so no statistics were gathered.

Hi Les and everyone,
In the 'any' world but and particularly in the scientific world I am certainly not one to take on Einstein. But I am sure that he had clear definitions for ethics in physics and ethics in the non-scientific world.

If only right and wrong were so easily understood and accepted as right and wrong by everyone, every nationality, every culture, every group. Clubbing baby seals to death does not seem wrong to a trapper. Beating dogs to death is a way of life in Indonesia for some people. Vivisection is a must for some scientist. Abortion? Eugenics? Euthanasia? Terrorism v Liberation. The list is endless and relative.

I am lost before I have started with this thread. Oh dear.
