It's that time of year again. We are getting ready to clean away last season's grime so that we can start a new season fresh. Read my latest article, Seasonal Cleaning the Feng Shui Way to learn how to really clean and get rid of negative energy along with the dust and dirt.

Excellent advice, Jenny.

We are doing a little more then the normal "spring cleaning" this year. It's been a year since my ex-husband and his mom moved from my house and they left a ton of stuff in the garage and other areas of the house - a huge non-working fridge in my storage room, etc.... so we rented a u-haul truck and have been taking things to the County landfill - truly in truck loads.

My ex had all these expensive power tools he left in the shed, so I've been giving those to my dad who has been helping me work on my house. Talk about a loving dad - he has up and down ladders helping me replace facia boards on my 2 story house.

Anyway, sorry I digress - so we've been clearing out to release, what we affectionately call "their evil spirit" from our home. It's been a journey and a feeling of re-awakening as I unclutter their "stuff." It's a long process, we've been working on it slowly for awhile because we didn't want to throw their stuff away since they were supposed to come back for it. But since it's been a year and they seem to be making no move to do so - it's getting pitched so we can work on our Feng Shui!

Oh Dianne, it is such good Feng Shui to get rid of old stuff that belonged to an ex and especially old stuff that belonged to an ex-mother in law. I imagine you are already feeling the good vibrations.

Hi Dianne,

Did they not want to get their stuff? I often wonder at that - people who leave stuff behind them in life and then not collect.

Still, life and stuff happens and often we are not really ready for it to happen to us!

I have a person who had to move out of her home very quickly and had no funds etc to store stuff commercially so I said I would help her as I had exra storage space in some of my storage rooms at the top of our building.

Well, it has been over three years now and she hasn't mentioned it or said anything. I do not think she is even aware of it anymore and has likely forgotten what she has and has not left here. Still, it does not affect me (or at least I hope not!) as it is stored in three lock up rooms, all her stuff and her clutter. If I needed the rooms I would tell her of course and give her fair warning to remove the stuff - but then I too would have to take action if she didn't.

Your articles are interesting to read Jenny so thank you for these...

Says cheers now
