The second half of the makeover episode which I'm still not sure why they split this into two one-hour chunks. It would have been quite fine as one normal 2 hour long episode.

I love how Mrs. Obama was enthusiastic about fitness and dove right in there. What a wonderful role model. It's also cool that she watches the show.

I know I've been lobbying for Chris to go home for weeks now. And I do think she had to go home. But that being said, I think it really sucked that her husband undermined her efforts like that and whined to drag her home. Surely the man could have survived another few weeks without her. He needs to step up and be more of a partner. Hopefully she has built enough strength now that she will stand up for herself more going forward.

So I had mixed feelings about that.

I also had mixed feelings about the way the voting went. I know Kim was upset. I understand that she was emotional. But still, with Chris just being eliminated, that was Chris' time to have her say and to get her praise and so on. It wasn't the time for Kim to want to hug people and say her piece. Again I know she was emotional and maybe it was hard for her to wait until after Chris had gone, but I think it would have been more appropriate.

That is, with everyone voting for Chris, to then have Kim say "Oh look! You guys like me! You voted for me!" sort of means that they DIDN'T like Chris as much, which was not a nice thing to be talking about in front of her.

I didn't appreciate Kim stealing Chris' thunder, but i don't think she meant it to diminish Chris. Kim could even have been prompted by Alison via the producers to speak at that point. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt, since she is the only person left i'd like to see take this thing.

Chris did look happier at home.

I think the binge was sad, but it was important to see this kind of thing. It is probably something a lot of people deal with in real life. That said, the thing seemed staged. Not that she didn't binge, but that this was a recreation of what really happened. It seemed so perfectly filmed in terms of angles.

Also, peanut butter on burgers? heh.

I was VERY happy the rest of the vile people didn't send Kim home. I even said to myself I would forgive them their meanness if they decided to keep Kim around. So I guess i have to be copacetic with them now.

Right, I agree that I don't think Kim was trying to be mean. And you're right, maybe she was urged into it and that part was cut out. One never knows with these shows.

I imagine with the binge that with the cameras already watching her make the phone call, they probably followed her down to the kitchen and knew exactly what she was doing. And since she had the cameras on her, she knew she was making a statement. And really maybe that was a part of it. She was upset with her husband and was saying "OK I will make him see what he has done to me, in full color on his TV set" - she was doing it in part to show him the effects of his actions.

Speaking of which, I thought they didn't get phone calls? Weren't phone calls home supposed to be a cool reward?

They were at the hotal at DC when Chris binged. So it was room service for the food. I don't know where she got a full jar of mayo and Pnut butter though.

Oh I had no idea, I thought they were at the ranch. I guess I wasn't paying close attention. So that makes it even easier then, if they're pointing cameras at her while she makes the first call, then makes the second call, and then sits there gobbling it down.

That also helps explain the binge, it's much easier to just speak words quickly with no chance of taking them back, vs going down to the kitchen and deliberately gathering them all up and carrying them back.

In any case, I understand comfort food eating, and I wish her husband hadn't put her under that pressure.
