Last night after I did my Brazil Butt Lift bum bum workout for 35 min. then stretched for 20 min. I had 3 oz steak, avocado slices, salsa and a sprinkle of cheese in a medium tortilla with a non alcoholic beer plus a 2x2 square of tuxedo cake that was to die for good!

Today all my size 2 pants are literally falling off me. I can fit my entire arm down the waist and I look much leaner. So obviously I'm losing fat but of all the foods that I 86ed from my diet 2 weeks ago I think the alcohol is what's making the biggest difference of all.

I really had gotten in the bad habit of having 2 glasses of wine almost nightly which means 100 calorie per glass x 10 glasses per week = 1000 extra calories per week! Holycrap that is a lot of extra unnecessary calories.

Anyway, I'm so glad we are on a booze ban until we go on our hiking vacation. I'm going to look damn hot in my smallest bikini by the time we make our way from Medford Oregon to Calistoga. I will probably celebrate with lots of wine then laugh laugh

Today's Breakfast is quinoa cinnamon and blueberries
1/2 cup quinoa cooked in 1 cup whole organic milk with cinnamon and 1/4 cup blueberries and 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

Lunch is roast beef with veggies that my boyfriend is making in a crockpot (smells so good already)

Dinner needs to be something lighter maybe eggs tuna spinach salad from my new ebook since I need a pic

Just had a green smoothie and 1 slice of whole grain toast w/pb for breakfast. The smoothie was so good and the color so green. I did not add protein powder but you can if you need it.
Here's how to make it.

5-6 orange slices
1/2 banana
4 oz water
1/4 cup full fat vanilla yogurt
drizzle of honey
1 tbsp coconut fat
1 big handful of rainbow chard leaves
1 big handful of spinach

Lunch today is tuna stuffed red pepper on bed or greens

Dinner is grilled chicken, steamed veggies and pasta with feta.

Breakfast today was 2 cups quinoa with cinammon, blueberries and yogurt. I definitely prefer the quinoa cooked in water instead of milk. The milk cooked quinoa has a more oatmeal consistency but it takes forever and requires constant supervision. I'm too busy in the morning for that.

Lunch is grilled chicken and more veggies than pasta salad

Dinner is stuffed salmon and steamed chard, broccoli and cauliflower

I might have a snack too. Yesterday I had a small quesadilla a few hours after lunch and before my workout. I also had banana slices with nutella after dinner so my carb intake was super high yesterday.

Today it will be more moderate then tomorrow is a fasting day so we'll see if that works out o.k. I'm starting to think it doesn't matter what you eat before or after a fast once you get in the habit of intermittent fasting your body just knows what to expect.

I'm measuring bodyfat with the Omron later this week. I think it's about 19 or 20% at this point which is great. The scale says I've lost 2 lb but measuring scale weight is pointless for me. The true measure of how well I'm eating is inches around the waist and bodyfat %.

I had a really great intermittent fast yesterday which ended at 7 p.m. after 10 min. of mobility 25 min. walk and 45 min. Brazil Butt Lift sculpt. I had so much energy during my sculpt workout it was crazy.

For dinner I had a bunch of leftover that needed to go including grilled chicken thigh, 1/2 cup black beans, handful of raw spinach and 2 small pieces of thin crust roasted red pepper pizza.

I also had 2 non-alcoholic beers and quite a bit of popcorn while watching a movie AND about 10 thin mints. Scale today says 117 lb. So, looks like 2 cheat meals per week and no alcohol is exactly what my body needs to shed some extra body fat.

My omron is giving me all kinds of crazy readings at this point so I really don't know what my bodyfat is. Based on how I look and how my clothes fit my guess is 20%. I haven't been to the gym since Dec. so I may have to stop in and have my friend Paulo measure it with calipers end of this month.

Had a great Easter weekend. All 4 kids were out with friends Friday evening so we had free time to go on a date night so I skipped my workout and went out to dinner. I ended up having 1 glass of red wine and my boyfriend had 1 beer so we broke our booze ban but got right back on track the following day.

Saturday I ended up doing two Brazil Butt Lift workouts. The one I skipped plus that days workout.

Sunday was a great day. I woke up early and did 20 min of mobility then had toast with pb and 2 cups coffee and went for a 5.5 mile walk then stretched for 45 min. when I got back. Drank lots of water before during and after.

We had ribs, shrimp, rice and salad for lunch, a faux beer plus banana cream pie for dessert and 5 cadburry mini eggs.

Late in the afternoon I did a 20 min. version of the Brazil Butt Lift sculpt workout that I was on my workout schedule. BBL sculpt is usually 45 min. but I just wanted to get it over with faster so I combined many exercises and shortened the workout.

For dinner I had more salad with shrimp and 1/2 cup beans and rice plus more water.

Here is a pic I took for my life purpose inspiration site today. I feel great right now and my endurance is way up. I want to continue losing fat but not lose any more weight. I would like to stay at my current weight of 117 lb. and lose another 3% fat so I can be at 17% bodyfat when we go on vacation but this is always so hard to do. We'll see what happens this time around.

We had all kinds of leftovers from Easter so yesterday turned out to be an interesting food day.

breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, 1 small piece of banana cream pie, 2 cups coffee (I love having dessert for breakfast once in a while, it's a nice break from the usual healthy stuff)

lunch - 1/2 cup rice and shrimp plus 20 oz water

snack - 1/3 banana 6 walnuts, 2 cups coffee and 24 oz water

dinner - superfoods green enchiladas, salad, and homemade raspberry iced tea

Here's the recipe (this is not traditional mexican food, it's quickie health mex food that I've adapted from my grandmother and mom's recipes that are much cheesier, greasier and not so veggie filled)

1 carrot
2 celery stalks
onion
2 large pieces of chard
2 tbsp olive oil
15 oz can green chili enchilada sauce
2/3 cup shredded cheese
corn or flour tortillas

Saute hard veggies in olive oil and in a separate pan brown your meat. Combine veggies and meat into one pan and add 1/2 enchilada sauce and chopped chard. Simmer for 5-10 min. (until liquid is absorbed). Heat tortilla in pan (no oil) just to soften then sprinkle with a bit of shredded cheese and top with 3-4 tbsp meat and veggies. Roll and place in baking dish coated with thin layer of enchilada sauce. Assemble 4-5 more enchiladas and place in baking dish then cover with more green enchilada sauce and sprinkle with a bit more cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 20 min.

Side salad was just mixed greens with cucumber, grape tomatoes, avocado, and lemon juice.

I also did 45 min. Brazil Butt Lift sculpt workout plus 10 min. mobility and 5 min. extra stretching.

Today I'm intermittent fasting and filming a leg workout video plus doing BBL bum bum and my own ab core workout.

After my intermittent fast yesterday I had 1/2 an enchilada (5 bites that were leftover) and a few chunks of watermelon. This was my appetizer while making dinner which was 3 oz steak and a mixed greens tomatoes cucumbers corn and mushroom salad with homemade honey mustard dressing.

My boyfriend brought home becks non-alcoholic beer so I had one of those and also had the last piece of banana cream pie. I'm glad the pie is gone so I can go back to no dessert after dinner or as breakfast.

My weight seems to be holding steady at 117 lb and my waist is now 27" which would explain why all my skinny pants are loose. Even my bikini no longer fits. I need a new one.

I'm thinking about giving up sugar for 3 weeks starting next week. I'm already off the booze and that feels pretty good so sugar would definitely make a huge difference with fatloss, muscle tone and definition.

I do not want to lose more weight so going on a sugar ban means I would need to eat slightly more whole grain carbs and veggies. I don't think I'll have an issue with that. I already had a test run 2 weeks ago when I was photographing recipes for my ebook and my abs got flatter and tighter than they had been in a while so I'm not gonna think about it I'm just gonna do it!

BTW my workouts yesterday were:
15 min. mobility in pool
30 min. best leg exercises and butt workout (posting the video later today)
10 min. ab core workout
3 mile walk (instead of Brazil Butt Lift bum bum workout)

Yesterday was a simple food day gone wrong but that's o.k. Cra* happens and being able to eat junk once or twice a week and not gain weight or fat means you're doing something right most of the time. My food motto is 80/20. I think you can tell by what I post every day that my diet isn't perfect but it's healthy enough that I'm able to maintain my weight and even lose weight easily.

Breakfast - spinach, 1 egg, 2 tbsp feta wrap

Lunch- ground bison meat w/celery, carrots, onion, mushrooms, corn, chard and green chile enchilada sauce (leftovers from enchilada night) plus 5 tortilla chips, 24 oz water

Snack - fruit smoothie made with 3 chunks watermelon, 3 large strawberries, handful of raspberries, 3 tbsp vanilla yogurt, 4 oz homemade raspberry tea (this was so refreshing on a hot day)

Snack 2 - 1/4 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 banana, 6 walnuts, 24 oz water

Dinner - 1 slice thin crust pepperoni pizza, 1 small taquito, 1 hot wing, 1 fake beer (St. Pauli Girl this time), 12 oz water

I probably should have had a healthier dinner but Wed. or Fri. is usually whatever my son wants to eat and that's what he chose at the store. I usually don't eat all the junk he chooses (I'll have 1 piece of junk plus veggies or salad) but I was too tired to care last night and I did keep the portions small.

My workout yesterday was 10 min. mobility plus my Upper Body Workout and 10 min. stretching.

Today's meals are:

Breakfast - black and blue smoothie made with 1/2 banana, handful blackberries, 1 scoop chocolate whey, 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 3 cups coffee

Lunch - curry chicken salad with 1 slice whole grain bread or whole grain crackers, here is the recipe from cooking light curried chicken salad with apples and raisins , 24 oz water

Snack - broccoli and hummus, 24 oz water

Dinner - Pasta with mushrooms, spinach, onion, feta and tomato sauce (I'll probably throw in some cottage cheese in there for extra protein too) 16 oz water

Today's workout is 40 min. advanced yoga flow, 35 min. Brazil Butt Lift high and tight, 3 mile walk

Yesterday's meals were:

breakfast - 1 medium banana walnut pancake with 3 tbsp yogurt and 1 tbsp maple syrup, 2 cups coffee

lunch - curried chicken salad on bed of spinach, 2 pieces of broccoli with hummus, 1 celery stick and 5 tortilla chips with 2 laughing cow cheese wedges, 16 oz water

snack - 1 slice thin crust pizza (this is me being lazy and just eating what's there instead of actually preparing a healthy snack (can't stand it when I do this but it's not the end of the world either), 8 oz water

dinner - 1 egg, handful spinach, 2 tbsp feta, medium tortilla wrap, 1 square of dark chocolate, 16 oz water

Workouts were 45 min. sculpt, 5 min. stretching, 25 min. walk I skipped mobility since I was feeling so good after yesterday's yoga practice which you can watch here advanced yoga stretching all 40 min. of it but part 2 is at 2x speed.

Had a great food weekend. Ate all kinds of foods (both super healthy and not so healthy. The worst thing I ate was 2 cups of homemade caramel nut popcorn that was made with microwave popcorn, brown sugar, honey, butter, and pecans. I had 2 cups Saturday after dinner while watching a movie and 2 cups Sunday after lunch.

The healthiest thing I ate was Saturday's dinner which was 3 oz spinach and feta stuffed salmon, 1 cup lemon pepper broccoli, and 1 cup brown rice cooked w/mushrooms, onions, kale, corn and green enchilada sauce.

My workouts this weekend were:

Saturday - 35 min. Brazil Butt Lift Cardio Axe followed by 40 min. of flow yoga

Sunday - 9 mile walk plus 10 min. stretching

We are really starting to build up our mileage for our hiking trip this summer. Our total mileage for the week was 15 miles. We are slowly working our way up to about 30 miles per week and I think our booze ban has been the key to both endurance, energy and fatloss too.

I read on a training site that if you're debating which to give up (sugar vs. alcohol) alcohol is the worst of the two evils because it's a catabolic that lowers testosterone and increases cortisol, reduces protein intake, interferes with nutrient absorption, and so many other horrible things.

If you're on a low carb diet but still drinking a bunch of wine or booze and you can't lose fat or are losing it very slowly, now you know why.
