Hi Lori..........So you are a white asparagus lover too, well you must join the club, in thought if not deed, as it is in full swing over here at the moment.
Could eat it every day if it was possible. Just cooked simply most of the time, with a little butter, pepper and salt, or a bowl of homemade soup that has been waiting in the fridge to be a 'quick snack' - Yum.
You could always try growing your own, know folks that do it and they say it is double the fun. The growing and then the eating. Although they buy two year old plants it still does take two years before the first harvest, but then it is party time. And it comes back year after year.
Lestie did a fabulous article on it some weeks ago An Asparagus Lovers 'How To Grow Your Own' Guide, perhaps that is an idea for you also.
Just imagine in two years you could be having your very own Asparagus Festival. Now how is that for something to look forward to.
Thanks very much for the feedback Lori, appreciate it.
