The description of this section says:A spiritual community for sharing our thoughts, insights and hopes as we grow along our spiritual path.
However ,with all the members living some kind of spiritual path,may they be atheists ,christians ,buddhists, wicca ,
first nation,simply spiritual being with no name to it, I find that this world wide movement,is limited in participation ,post wise.
Spiritualism is the Future,would'nt it be great if more brothers of he spiritual world would join in and share.
That is what i did when Deanna left.

Dear Loong -

Many people are shy about sharing, because they are nervous about being judged. So they read and enjoy without posting. That is fine too! There are all types of people in the world.

I would hope that each person finds a path they are comfortable with, and that we all allow others to follow paths that they feel comfortable with without judging.

Dear Lisa,
If someone is afraid of being judged ,then his/her spirituality
is not very strong.No one here is judging,just seeing with Right Mindfulness.
Everytime I write a post,I have to be sure especially in Buddhism that what I write is not too complex,buddhism being the most complex spirituality to understand and live.I write it just the same.If fear leads one's life ,then that person has not conquered himself/herself,that being the main goal of Spirituality.

I know you mean to be supportive, but to a shy person your post there could seem to be judgmental You are telling them their spirituality is weak just because they're shy.

With our visitors coming from a variety of cultures, and some being very young, we want to try to avoid judging them like that. We wouldn't want to give anyone the impression that we feel their spirituality is weak just because they don't want to post or share, or because for whatever reason they don't want to have their thoughts publicly known and associated with their forum ID.

I would have to imagine that all humans are challenged by fear, and it is just that we are at different stages with that struggle.

You speak of shyness,I was shy all my life.Even today.
That is like Bravery,the one that is brave is the one that is so afraid goes frontward,the other one afraid runs the other way.

Well, my spirituality has caused me great fear. I still have to deal with it. I'm extremely shy also. I'm just here. I try very hard just to cope with daily life. When I pushed real hard to move forward with my spirituality, I went insane several times. So, I withdrew within myself and I strive to maintain harmony within. Fear is with me always, yet I also try to move forward slowly. Great powers were exposed to me from within, and it scared me.

You say you live with fear.Fear is happiness worst ennemy.
A good part of my life ,fear lead my life also.I am manic depressive.Told you that before .Inherited from my mother 3 mental desease.2 that I got rid of with positive thinkig and spirituality and the last one, well it is well controlled with proper medication.I have not had anxiety or panic for 5 years now
So for almost 60 years ,I fought ,I fought hard to regain my life.I wish the same to you brother in suffering.

I am normally interested in spiritual conversation. Right now I am entirely focused on my husband leaving me. He leaves tomorrow in the early AM. I can't seem to think about anything else and i don't know how long i will be somewhat 'out of it' when he goes.

Jilly, this forum is a good place to find support and friendship as your spiritual path takes you through places you may not want to be.

It is natural that such a major life change is your main focus right now. It is healthy and good. Take each day one at a time, and know that you have many friends around the world who are sending care and compassion your way.

This change is happening for a reason, to open your life up for new, better possibilities.

I don't know if i have faith that better things are coming, but it is certainly a time of change.

i am more than honored that you should ask me for advice.
Here goes, Attachments to other humans or things always brings suffering.You are agood person.Try ,i say try to live in the Now.
and slowly detach from the attachment you have for your husband.
As soon as you realize that you are feeling really bad those are the moments you will be thinking of your husband.Stop Immediately and come back to the world of now ,where suffering does not exist.ExempleYou tell yourself at this instant, i have a
house to live in, a bit of money, maybe a car,food in the fridge
animals ,what am I complaining about.

We suffer when we go to the past or to the future who are both illusions of things that happened and things that have not yet happened.Repeat that as much as you can to close the gash in your heart,and slowly the gash will close, becomming a scar ,that will always be there,but disapearing slowly.

All the Loving Kindness that I posses i send to you.

Time does not heal things ,people do.So my spiritual sister start working.

I agree with Loong, Jilly. People do heal themselves, and can heal themselves. Many of us do not realize that.

It took me two years to let go of my ex-husband after our divorce, and I did have a gash in my heart that I thought would never heal. The more I thought of him, the more I would hurt. It was only after I started to work on my own spirituality to heal myself that I finally let him go. Now I feel nothing when I think of him, and I barely even think of him at all.

I do know this......had I worked sooner on myself to live in the Now, to accept that I have good things around me, people who love me, and to realize that there is value within myself, I would have healed so much earlier. We do keep ourselves in our own tortuous place, but we can change that if we have the courage to do so.

This is all new for you right now. You have to deal with the grief and don't push it away at first. Have a few good cries and accept the hurt you feel. It is normal to feel this way. Then make it a point to start taking care of yourself and healing yourself. Keep busy with your interests and you will start to feel strong again. Live in the moment and realize that there is beauty all around you and inside of you. When you believe in yourself the good things will come to you.

I hear people say they are not religious, but spiritual.

I have heard some people say that as well. Being spiritual can include religious beliefs, or not include religion at all.

An Atheist can be a spiritual person by just believing in themselves and finding harmony and balance with Nature and what is within their self.

An atheist,is the perfect exemple of a spiritual person.

I remember ,In a thread I wrote:spirituality with or without God.
That is what I was talking about.The thread was poorly understood and went all over.Yet here ,in this thread ,it's fine to be an atheist and a spiritual being.
