I've always liked Margaret Rutherford and Helen Hayes. It's hard for me to picture Angela Landsbury as anything other than her Murder she Wrote character. I loved that show too.

Yes, I love the Margaret Rutherford movies too; she was a wonderful actress. I always thought that her Miss Marple movies didn't have much in common with the Agatha Christie stories, though, apart from the name. Did you ever see her as Madam Arcati in the movie version of Blithe Spirit - she was fantastic!

Helen Hayes was good in A Caribbean Mystery. Like you, I always think of Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher. I didn't much like the Miss Marple movie she did - The Mirror Crack'd - partly because she didn't look old enough for the part, and also because I'm not a big Elizabeth Taylor fan.

Grace, I've never seen Blithe Spirit. I looked and Amazon has it. I love old movies, so I'll add it to my wish list. Thanks!
